So I am blind, it’s a well known fact. And I had glasses for a long time until they broke last June and I needed new ones. A few weeks ago, I ordered a pair of frames off ClearlyContacts.ca and got them for free. Pretty freaking lucky. So now I had these bitchin’ frames and all I needed was the lenses. So I go to my usual eye place and I’m like “Yo, gimme dem lenses for cheapy-cheapy because I’m native. Here’s my status card, see.” 

And then a fucking shitstorm of fuck began. The man who works at the Optical Factory (his name is John) called Indian Affairs and they told me I couldn’t get lenses covered by the Indian government because the guy who got my prescription isn’t a registered optician.

Well fuck. So now I had to find a registered optician in town and get an appointment. So I did. And today was my appointment so I go and have a grand old time and they put these drops in my eyes to dilate my pupils and I have to wear sunglasses for the rest of the day because light is painful and ow. And I leave this building not having to pay a thing because my eye exams are covered until I turn 20. 

Also, this place might be able to get my lenses for cheap but they will call me later and tell me how much lenses will cost once the Indian government covers what they can. 

I get home and I have a voicemail. Indian government covers $99 of $154 so that’s cool. Lenses are $50 dollars. Also I owe $37 dollars for a contact assessment. (this is when I started flipping) 

Why the fuck do I have to pay for something I didn’t really need because I was getting glasses anyways and wouldn’t need contacts anymore. Why the fuck didn’t you tell me I’d have to pay this. Why the fuck do you suck so much and no I will not be buying my lenses from you because they are expensive and I hate you. 

I have no fucking job and I am moving out at the end of June and I have to pay for all of this shit and even my graduation costs money and fuck this shit. Everything is so fucking expensive. I’ll be surprised if anyone actually reads all of this but I needed to vent so thanks Tumblr. 

As soon as I get my diploma, I am leaving that gymnasium. I am so glad to be graduating.
